Ouachita Student Foundation hosts annual Tiger Traks April 17-18

April 09, 2009 - Megan Lindsey

Tiger Traks 2009, Ouachita Baptist University’s weekend of campus-wide fun and games, will be held April 17-18 on Ouachita’s campus. The event is sponsored by the Ouachita Student Foundation (OSF).

During the weekend, teams will compete in raft races, an obstacle course, mind games, mud volleyball, mud tug-o-war, an egg toss, a scavenger hunt called Tiger Trek, a basketball relay and ice fishing.

“Seeing students from all areas of OBU participate in the same event is the best part about Tiger Traks,” said OSF special events chair Paige Cate, a senior early childhood education major from Bryant, Ark. “This is an event that brings the Ouachita community together!”

OSF provides scholarships for students without financial assistance and helps enrich students’ experiences at OBU. All profits from Tiger Traks will go toward student scholarships.

To participate in Tiger Traks, participants must form teams of eight with at least four females on each team. Teams can sign up at tables found at various locations on campus including Chic-fil-A and the cafeteria. The cost to participate is $15 per person, $120 total for a team. Participants who sign up before midnight on April 9 will have 10 bonus points added to their team’s score. Staff members helping coordinate Tiger Traks are Nathan Shelburne, Rebecca Jones and Keisha Pittman.
