December 21, 2009 - Trennis Henderson

The Ouachita Baptist University Board of Trustees elected four new board members during its recent meeting on the school’s Arkadelphia campus.

New Board of Trustees members are Curtis Arnold of North Little Rock, Clay Conly of Bentonville, Mollie Morgan of Mountain Home and Dr. Susan Wamble of Pine Bluff. They succeed four board members who have completed their terms of service: Dr. Jack Hazlewood of Little Rock, Vickie Keeton of Wynne, Dr. Ken Shaddox of North Little Rock and Tony Yocom of Hope.

“I appreciate very much the service of Jack Hazlewood, Vickie Keeton, Ken Shaddox and Tony Yocom,” noted Ouachita President Rex M. Horne, Jr. “Their devotion to Ouachita is exemplary and their personal support and friendship will never be forgotten.

“I am excited to welcome three who are serving Ouachita as trustees for the first time,” Dr. Horne added. “Curtis Arnold, Clay Conly and Susan Wamble bring to us varied experience from different geographic areas and are united in seeing Ouachita continue to progress. There is no greater recruiter and advocate for Ouachita than Mollie Morgan. I am delighted to have her back on our board.”

Arnold, a member of the Ouachita Class of 1992, is the founder of cardratings.com, an online consumer source for credit card information. He and his wife, Nancy, are members of Summit Church of North Little Rock. They are the parents of six children.

Conly, a member of the Ouachita Class of 1998, is CEO of First Western Mortgage in Rogers. He and his wife, Cara, also a 1998 Ouachita alumna, are members of First Baptist Church of Rogers. They are the parents of one son, Tripp.

Morgan, who previously served as a member of Ouachita’s Board of Trustees, is a member of the Ouachita Class of 1982. She and her husband, Roger, also a 1982 Ouachita graduate, are members of First Baptist Church of Mountain Home. They are the parents of two daughters, Marci, a 2009 Ouachita graduate, and Emily, a junior at Ouachita, and one son, Robert.

Dr. Wamble is a pediatric dentist in Pine Bluff. She and her husband, Sam, are members of First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff. Their daughter, Caitlyn, is a junior at Ouachita.

Ouachita Baptist University, a private Christian liberal arts university in Arkadelphia, has been ranked the No. 1 Baccalaureate College in the South for three years in a row by U.S. News & World Report. With an enrollment of almost 1,500 students from more than 30 states and 50 nations, Ouachita seeks to foster a love of God and a love of learning in a vibrant, Christ-centered learning community.
