Weather Update: Campus Open Feb. 4

Ouachita NewsFebruary 03, 2022 - Brooke Zimny

Campus is open tomorrow, Feb. 4, because weather conditions have been more favorable in Arkadelphia than predicted. Classes will continue in person as scheduled unless you are notified otherwise by your instructor. Commuter students as well as faculty and staff should use their best judgment regarding travel safety. Please communicate with your instructors or supervisor if you feel traveling to campus would pose a safety risk. Some remote options are available.

Additional information will be sent via Ouachita’s Emergency Alert system as needed; please continue to be attentive to your email and text messages.

Use caution while driving and while walking on campus sidewalks and steps as ice may remain in some areas. We encourage you to follow local news outlets (KARK, KATV, KTHV) or the National Weather Service for more information on local weather and iDriveArkansas.com for current road conditions.

Dining Services is closed for breakfast, and breakfast in a bag is available tonight in the Ouachita Commons. Lunch will be available at all locations. Additional dining information is available via email and OBU Campus Dining social media accounts.

Residential classes were canceled and offices closed on Feb. 3 due to inclement weather. Read more.
