Check-in FAQ

Check your semester pre-bill, which provides a detail breakdown of your charges and aid for the semester.

The University’s official policy states that payment for each semester must be made in full before beginning classes for the following semester. We offer two payment options: (1) The account may be paid in full by first day of classes each semester.  (2) The balance due after verified financial aid may be paid in five monthly installments over the semester with a $35 per semester payment fee. The first payment is due before the first class day of the semester and then on the 15th day of each month of the semester. *Accounts not paid in full by the first class day of the semester will automatically be placed on the monthly payment plan and a $20 Late fee applied for missed monthly payments.

We accept payments in the form of cash, check, money order, credit or debit card and electronic check. Account payments may be made: Online thru the student’s or parent’s web portal account, by phone at (870) 245-5570. Office hours 8-12 and 1-5 Monday-Friday, or by mail addressed to Ouachita Baptist University, Box 3774, Arkadelphia, Arkansas 71998.

In the financial section of Online Check-in, you are given an option to request an override or adjustment to the balance due, by submitting a request detailing the aid anticipated. Student Financial Services will review your adjusted payment request, and contact you with changes.

In order to receive a decal, you need to complete the auto information portion of registration. Once your information is received, it will be processed by Student Services. If you live in a Residential Hall, your decal will be passed out by your Head Resident (see your Head Resident for specific details). If you live in OBU apartments or are a commuter, your decal will be in your OBU mailbox. If you do not receive your decal after approximately a week, please contact Student Services to ensure a decal is given to you (and to prevent any traffic citations).
