October 25, 2021Dr. Myra Houser, associate professor of history at Ouachita Baptist University, was selected for the Baptist International Scholars Roundtable in Oxford, England, in the spring of 2020 for her paper discussing “Baptists and Social Concern.”
Erica Dixon crowned 2021 Homecoming Queen at Ouachita
October 14, 2021Erica Dixon, a senior graphic design major from Arkadelphia, Ark., was crowned Ouachita Baptist University’s 2021 Homecoming Queen during a pregame ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 2. Dixon represented Tri Chi women’s social club, which she serves as president. She also is a member of the Tiger Steel Band and is a Kappa Chi men’s social club little sis.
Ouachita Baptist University's Elrod Center holds Tiger Serve Day
September 29, 2021Ouachita Baptist University’s Elrod Center for Family and Community held its Fall 2021 Tiger Serve Day event on Saturday, Sept. 25. One hundred projects in and around Arkadelphia were completed by 831 Ouachita volunteers who also resumed traditional Tiger Serve Day activities such as visiting the homes of senior adults, yard work and assisting local nonprofit organizations like LightHouse Ministries and The Percy and Donna Malone Child Safety Center.

September 02, 2021Ouachita Baptist University’s Rosemary Gossett Adams Department of Art & Design is hosting “Crowded Spaces,” an exhibit by Arlington, Texas, artist Treslyn Shipley Aug. 24 through Oct. 3 in the Adams Gallery in Moses-Provine Hall. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
611 Ouachita volunteers act as "Hands of Hope" in Arkadelphia for Spring 2021 Tiger Serve Day
April 12, 2021Ouachita Baptist University’s Elrod Center for Family and Community held its Spring 2021 Tiger Serve Day event on Saturday, April 10, with 75 teams completing 76 projects throughout the Arkadelphia community. A total of 611 Ouachita student, faculty and staff volunteers represented the university with this semester’s theme, “Hands of Hope.”
Ouachita's Fall 2020 Tiger Serve Day sees strong turnout despite pandemic
October 02, 2020Ouachita Baptist University’s Elrod Center for Family and Community held its Fall 2020 Tiger Serve Day event on Saturday, Sep. 26, with 116 teams and 850 total volunteers participating. A total of 112 projects also were completed around the Arkadelphia community, despite changes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
