Ouachita welcomes 15 new faculty to campus
September 04, 2025Ouachita Baptist University welcomed 15 new faculty members in 2025 to its undergraduate and graduate programs. The group participated in an orientation on campus Aug. 5-6. Led by the university’s Office of Academic Affairs, the event introduced them to the community and departments on campus.
Social media use is unavoidable in this age, so instead of dismissing its use entirely, I hoped to better understand what exactly was so dangerous about it. So, when it came time to choose a subject for my thesis for the Carl Goodson Honors Program, I had no difficulty making a decision.

January 19, 2023Three students from Ouachita Baptist University completed a five-week congressional internship for U.S. Sen. John Boozman this summer. Noah Sanders, a senior political science and Christian studies double major from Little Rock, Ark., and Sarah Spakes, a senior political science and public history double major from Benton, Ark., interned in Boozman’s Washington, D.C., office while Kathryn Totty, a senior political science and communications & media double major from Camden, Ark., interned in Boozman’s El Dorado office.
