All-Night Theatre Festival to be held March 12
March 07, 2023Ouachita Baptist University’s Department of Theatre Arts will present its 23rd annual All-Night Theatre: A 10-Minute Play Festival on Saturday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Verser Theatre. Hosted by the Alpha Psi Omega national college honor society, the festival is entirely student-run. Admission is free.
Ouachita's Department of Theatre Arts to present "A Servant to Two Masters"
October 31, 2022Ouachita Baptist University’s Department of Theatre Arts will present “A Servant to Two Masters” from Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 17-19, and Monday, Nov. 21, at 7:30 p.m. in Verser Theatre, 409 Ouachita St. A matinee performance is set for Sunday, Nov. 20 at 2:30 p.m.

March 22, 2022Ouachita Baptist University’s Department of Theatre Arts will present the 2012 revival of “Godspell” by Stephen Schwartz from Thursday-Sunday, April 7-10, in Jones Performing Arts Center, 409 Ouachita Street. Shows begin April 7-9 at 7:30 p.m.; a matinee performance will be held April 10 at 2:30 p.m. The production is open to the public.

Ouachita Department of Theatre Arts to host One Act Play Festival Dec. 9-10
December 08, 2021The Ouachita Baptist University Department of Theater Arts will present its One Act Play Festival on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9-10, at 7:30 p.m. in Verser Theater. The bi-annual event, which is free and open to the public, features six short plays directed by students in completion of end-of-semester projects in Ouachita’s play directing course. All plays will be presented both nights of the festival.
Ouachita to present the comic opera "H.M.S. Pinafore" Nov. 4-7
November 02, 2021Ouachita's Division of Music and Department of Theatre Arts will present the comic opera “H.M.S. Pinafore” by W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan from Thursday-Sunday, Nov. 4-7, in Jones Performing Arts Center. Performances will take place Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with a Sunday matinee at 2:30 p.m.

Ouachita to present One Act Play Festival April 29-30
April 29, 2021Ouachita Baptist University’s Department of Theatre Arts will present its biannual, student directed One Act Play Festival on Thursday, April 29, and Friday, April 30, at 7:30 p.m. in Verser Theatre. The One Act Play Festival features a variety of short plays produced by seniors for their end-of-semester project in Ouachita’s directing class.

April 09, 2021Ouachita Baptist University’s Department of Theatre Arts will present its spring production of Little Women: The Musical with the opening performance to be held on Thursday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m. in Jones Performing Arts Center. Performances will continue April 16-17 at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee performance on Sunday, April 18, at 2:30 p.m. The production is open to Ouachita faculty, staff and students with limited seating to allow for social distancing, and streaming tickets are available to purchase for the general public at obu.edu/boxoffice.
