sophomore musical theatre recital Friday, Oct. 15, at 11 a.m. in Mabee Fine Arts Center’s

getting to perform them will be really great.”
Pace, a mezzo-soprano from Sugar Land, Texas, earned first place in the 2010 Hot Springs

language portion of the recital with Bock’s “Feelings” from “The Apple Tree.” Pace
will then perform Howland’s “The Most Amazing Thing” from “Little Women” assisted
by DeCarl Jones, a freshman vocal performance major from Rowlett, Texas, and Bethany
Swiontek, a sophomore choral music education major from Colorado Springs, Colo. Pace
will conclude the recital with Yazbek’s “Here I Am” from “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.”
Pace is a student of Suzetta Glenn, OBU lecturer in music, and will be accompanied
on the piano by Susan Monroe.
