Scholarships & Financial Aid

Pruet School of Christian Studies
Scholarship/Financial Aid information
2016-2017

General: The first and most important step for any student seeking financial aid is to apply for admission to the University. An application for admission will also serve as an application for most OBU scholarships. Likewise, to be eligible for most scholarships, the student (and their parents) must have submitted the FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov). Contact Student Financial Services office for more information regarding the FAFSA.

Notification of all scholarship awards will be made by Student Financial Services through the mail.  Students may also view aid information through their OBU web portal account at info.obu.edu.

ABSC Ministry Scholarship: This scholarship was established by the Arkansas Baptist State Convention and provides $1,125 per semester to students who are preparing for preaching ministry, pastoral ministry, church planting, or student ministry, and who have been licensed by a Southern Baptist Church.  The student’s church must contribute $125 per semester, to which the ABSC will add $1,000 per semester for a total of $1,125 per semester. If a student is employed in a ministry staff position with an ABSC cooperating church, the scholarship amount is $2,125 per semester.
