The Office of Communications & Marketing creates content, develops strategies and establishes best practices for telling the Ouachita story – informing and connecting with audiences on campus and around the world. As an information hub, we help the university communicate clearly and with one voice to celebrate the Ouachita experience; express our vision, mission and values; support enrollment and retention; enhance fundraising; promote special events; and shine a spotlight on students, faculty, staff and alumni. We’re also your source for all things branded – from stationery, signage and business cards to clothing and merch. And if you have a project that falls under our umbrella, we’re here to help.
Design
We’re obsessed with beautiful design, whether in print, digital or in shared spaces, with an eye toward strengthening Ouachita’s brand. Tell us how we can help you produce a publication or bring functionality and a fresh look to an interior or exterior design. And submit a request for help with the proper use of Ouachita branding.
We handle all aspects of the digital and traditional advertising processes, from development and placement to tracking results. We’ll can guide you to officially branded Ouachita promotional products or help you brainstorm new ideas and events. And if you have a recruitment strategy to educate prospective students about your department, we can help you streamline the details.
Media Relations
If you have news to share, we want to hear it. We cultivate stories for publication on the news and blog pages on the university website, on social media, in the Ouachita Circle alumni magazine and in local, state and national media outlets.
Multimedia
Let us help promote your department, program or event with photos, videos and social media posts. We're also available to help you kickstart or maintain your department's own social media presence.
Website Management
Your department’s first point of contact with prospective students and their families will likely be the Ouachita website, so it’s very important to check your program page periodically and keep the information current. Fill out a form to submit edits, and we’ll take it from there.
Printing Services
The Office of Communications & Marketing coordinates printing needs and solutions with off-campus partners and on-campus options.
