May 15, 2019Michael Bleecker didn’t come to Ouachita to study worship ministry. In fact, he’d never even picked up a guitar. But freshman year, that all changed. Now, Bleecker leads thousands of people in worship each week at The Village Church in Flower Mound, Texas.
Faculty profile: Mary Chung & Carlos Feller, Developing more than skills
May 15, 2019It has been quite a journey – spanning three continents – that has brought Drs. Mary Chung and Carlos Feller to Ouachita. Mary grew up in South Korea – the daughter of a pastor. While Mary dreamed of someday being a missionary, her father passed away when she was young, and her mother continued toward their family dream of serving as missionaries.

April 24, 2019Ouachita Baptist University’s Division of Music will present its annual PRISM concert on April 29 at 7:30 p.m. in Jones Performing Arts Center. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will feature the Ouachita Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Percussion Ensemble and other various ensembles and soloists from Ouachita’s instrumental program.

April 23, 2019Ouachita Baptist University’s steel drum bands will present their spring concert on Wednesday, May 1, at 8 p.m. in McBeth Recital Hall in Mabee Fine Arts Center. The concert will feature three ensembles: Tiger Steel, Pan Jouvet and Pan Harmony, an elementary student community band.
Ouachita's Saxophone Quartet performs at Region 4 NASA Conference
April 23, 2019Ouachita Baptist University’s Saxophone Quartet recently was invited to perform at the Region 4 North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA) Conference held at the University of Arkansas March 14-17. Additionally, senior Sierra Westberg was selected for a solo performance.
