Ouachita to host annual Virginia Queen Piano Competition May 4
April 30, 2018Ouachita Baptist University’s Division of Music will host its annual Virginia Queen Piano Competition Friday, May 4, at 3 p.m. The competition will be held in Ouachita’s McBeth Recital Hall, and admission is free and open to the public.

Verser Theatre is celebrating its 50th year on Ouachita’s campus and houses Ouachita’s theatre program and many of Ouachita’s student productions. Jones Performing Arts Center is celebrating its 25th anniversary and is another building that has a huge role in every Ouachitonian’s college career.
Ouachita Enactus team named regional champions, advances to national competition
April 26, 2018Ouachita Baptist University’s Enactus team was named Regional Champion its annual regional competition in Dallas, Texas. The team will move on to compete at the Enactus National Exposition in Kansas City, Mo., May 20-22.

The class recently invited junior and senior high school students from six schools from around the state to campus to teach them to do the same during a Genome Hack-A-Thon.

Division of Music to present annual PRISM instrumental concert April 30
April 20, 2018Ouachita Baptist University’s Division of Music will present its annual PRISM concert Monday, April 30, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will feature Ouachita’s Wind Ensemble, Steel Drum Band and Percussion Ensemble, as well as other instrumental ensembles and soloists.
