July 20, 2021Most people have had good experiences with glow sticks and dance parties, but Carli Copell, a junior psychology and sociology double major from Canton, Texas, couldn’t say the same due to an injury that involved a glow-stick and her losing her hearing.
This episode of the Tiger for Life Podcast features Ouachita graduates Clay Chapuis ('10) and Meredith Butler Chapuis ('12). On a late-night run, Meredith and two friends were burdened about the needs in their community. Not being able to sleep, the three women began to dream of how they could make an impact in their community -- especially in the area of food insecurity with so many losing jobs during the pandemic.

July 12, 2021Colin McWhorter, a business major from Rogers, Ark., is a sophomore baseball player, but roaming the outfield and hitting a baseball is not all he’s passionate about. On December 24, McWhorter’s grandfather Jim McWhorter passed away. The family was searching for someone to administer the funeral, and Colin stepped up.

July 01, 2021Ouachita Baptist University has named 409 students to its Spring 2021 Dean’s List. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must compile at least a 3.5 grade point average and be classified as a full-time student, with a minimum of 12 academic hours and have no incomplete or failing grade for the semester.

After serving in children's ministry while attending Ouachita and after graduation, Mari felt called to the mission field and moved to Haiti to teach fourth graders in August of 2020 -- in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Jeremy Greer named dean of Ouachita's Pruet School of Christian Studies
June 28, 2021Dr. Jeremy Greer is the new dean of Ouachita Baptist University’s Pruet School of Christian Studies. Greer, a Ouachita graduate and second generation pastor, has long ties to the university as well as Arkansas Baptists in addition to higher education experience through teaching and administrative roles.
