Ouachita hosts "Crowded Spaces" art exhibit by Treslyn Shipley Aug. 24-Oct. 3
September 02, 2021Ouachita Baptist University’s Rosemary Gossett Adams Department of Art & Design is hosting “Crowded Spaces,” an exhibit by Arlington, Texas, artist Treslyn Shipley Aug. 24 through Oct. 3 in the Adams Gallery in Moses-Provine Hall. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
Ouachita gives $50,000 to Arkadelphia MLK Park project
August 25, 2021Ouachita Baptist University has made a $50,000 pledge to help fund construction of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Park in Arkadelphia, the first organizational contribution to the project.

He's fallen in love with Ouachita and students, faculty and staff have embraced Mark as a Ouachitonian and honorary Tiger for Life.
This episode of the Tiger for Life Podcast features Ouachita graduates Clay Chapuis ('10) and Meredith Butler Chapuis ('12). On a late-night run, Meredith and two friends were burdened about the needs in their community. Not being able to sleep, the three women began to dream of how they could make an impact in their community -- especially in the area of food insecurity with so many losing jobs during the pandemic.

While on campus, I was surrounded by faculty and peers alike who uniquely challenged me and pushed me to grow in my relationship with Christ. While Ouachita opened the door for me to gain wisdom from faculty, it also brought me some seriously great friends. Whether through class, clubs or other avenues, the friendships I made were each unique and welcomed new perspectives into my life.
