Constitution Day Committee

According to federal law, educational institutions that receive federal funds are required annually to recognize Constitution Day, the day on which our nation’s founders signed the Constitution. To fulfill this mandate, the Constitution Day Committee coordinates an annual campus-wide Constitution Day event that takes place on or near September 17.

Each year, the President appoints members to the Constitution Day Committee, which usually includes the university's Federal Compliance Officer, Registrar, Student Senate President, VP for Student Development, University General Counsel, Chair of the Political Science Department, and Dean of the School of Social Sciences.
