Interdisciplinary Studies Committee
The Interdisciplinary Studies Committee's responsiblilites include:
- advising the Dean of Interdisciplinary Studies on all matters related to Interdisciplinary Studies and the Ouachita Core curriculum;
- assisting the Dean of Interdisciplinary Studies in administering, analyzing, and responding to assessment data and other relevant information with the aim of improving the effectiveness of the Ouachita Core curriculum;
- making recommendations to the faculty regarding any changes to the Ouachita Core curriculum; and
- serving as needed as an appeal board for matters specifically related to Ouachita Core requirements.
The Interdisciplinary Studies Committee consists of one faculty member from each of the seven disciplinary schools, plus the Dean of the School of Interdisciplinary Studies, who serves as chair.
